Summary:

Empire World is a city building game, though truly the heart of the game consists of trading/selling goods and merchandise. We find the game play and concept well rounded and thought out. The artwork is above average and visually pleasing. The music can become tiresome after a while.

Ups:

Great strategy game, lots to do and plenty  of ”thought” required

Downs:

Sometimes waiting for things to happen becomes a drag, but this seems to be the normal with today’s mobile “Free but Hurry up and wait” style games

 PLAGUE GAME REVIEW

Game Name: Plague Inc.

Platforms: iOS, Android

Genre: Strategy, simulation

About the game:

Plague Inc. is a fun way to watch how a disease can travel to every corner of the world and make all humans die. When I have a bad day and just want to kill the world, it lets the bad feelings out without affecting anyone around you. It’s also a great puzzle game, finding the most effective way to bring the human race down. I haven’t been able to get through the second level, but I still have a blast re-playing level 1 over and over. I definitely have a blast every time I play! However, the game cannot be played on my phone, only my tablet, probably because the game is about 40Gb. I don’t like, however, that it can’t be multiplayer (but I don’t really know how they’d pull that off, so I’ll give them a break).

Features:

·         Easy to understand gameplay screen

·         Full map (zoom in/out features)

·         Multi-language feature

·         Ads don’t destroy the quality of gameplay like some games do

When installing: Before you download, make sure you have at least 40gb of free space, insufficient disk space may prevent the download/install of the game

Pros:

·         Easy to understand gameplay/interface

·         Great time-killer (no pun intended)

·         SUPER FUN!

·         With the paid version, you can speed up the gameplay, and no more ads

Cons:

·         Need an internet connection to play

·         Can’t play on smaller devices, like phones

·         Some ads (but not as bad as some other games I’ve played)

·         Start volume can be pretty loud and changing volume chokes the game for a second or two

Summary:

With Plague Inc., it’s a super fun game, a great concept, and very well executed. That being said, have fun!

Game Name: Traffic Racer

Genre: Infinite Racing

About The Game:

Traffic Racer is an infinite racing game with some great features. Choose from 7 colors for your car, 8 types of wheels, and upgrade abilities and advantages for your car. There are 4 different location types; Suburb, Desert, Snowy, and City Night.

The creators of the game have made it easy to get “cash” for the game, which can be used to buy power-ups, unlock locations, and give you extra lives. There are 4 game modes: Endless, Endless-Two-Way, Time Trial and Free Ride.

Game play is easy to understand. Tilt the screen to steer, touch the gas button to accelerate, and touch the brake button to slow down. Easy as pie!

Opinions:

I liked how you can slow down during gameplay. I haven’t seen that very often on other infinite racer games, so that’s a plus. I like the music and how I can change the color of my car, too.  Another plus is that if I want to spend 15-ish seconds of my time watching video for an ad, I automatically get 500 points added to my pocket (super awesome!) However, I don’t like the pop-up ads, but they’re not as frequent on this game as I’ve seen on other games, so that’s cool.
