Game Play:
This game doesn’t crash (or hasn’t so far), but it’s irritating that I need to add my email address just so I can play, as I really dislike giving out my email to anyone I don’t know. The animation is well done and the game doesn’t choke or crash.
RATINGS:   Based on a 1-10 scale
     Art:   8
     Gameplay: 3
     Concept:
8
     Fun factor:
4
     Performance:
 8
Summary:
It’s irritating that the icons/buttons are difficult to identify what they do. In order for me to understand what’s going on and what I need to do, I go through the tutorial every time, which means I need to uninstall the game and then reinstall it, which is tedious and irritating. Uninstalling the game, as it’s just too irritating to be confused with a game intended to just waste some time.
Ups:
·         The art is very well done
·         The animation is also very well done
·         The beginning of the game, when you first install it, the tutorial is beneficial
Downs:
·         The tutorial only shows up when the first player starts, not when a second player is added, so the second player is clueless when they start the game, needing a reinstall every time a player is added
·         Some of the graphics/animation can be very sensitive and moves too fast sometimes
·         Some parts of the tutorials are unclear and confusing
·         Too many ads
·         Eats up the battery quickly

·         The buttons for items have icons, but not very well described

Game Play: On the Samsung Galaxy Tablet (first release), it plays really well. It hasn’t choked on me yet, which is really great, as I’ve had several games choke on me before. The animation is very smooth. It’s a just great game to educate people about risk factors that can affect a person’s health.
RATINGS:   Based on a 1-10 scale
     Art:   10
     Gameplay: 8
     Concept:
  10
     Fun Factor:
7
     Performance:
 10
Summary: This game has wonderful graphics, keeps the player’s brain going, challenging and educational. I haven’t been able to get past the first level, but it’s very fun! I’m not very fond of the time it takes to load the game, but it’s very forgivable, because the graphics and gameplay are awesome!
Ups:
-Educates people about what can affect your health and how you can prevent these risk factors in your own body
-Great artwork
-Great animation

Downs:
-Well, it’s kind of a big game to download, so it won’t work on my phone, but not really a big deal
-You can’t undo automatically upgraded things in the game

Princess Beauty Salon Game Review

Game name: Princess Beauty Salon
Platform(s): Android
Device(s) tested on:  (Samsung Galaxy)
Genre:  Dress-up
Creator(s): TNN Game
About the game: It’s less of a “game” and more of an application that little kids can play with to pass the time (or something like that), or almost like a digital doll.
Features:
·         Give princess a facial/spa/get rid of her pimples
·         Put makeup on the princess
·         Dress her up with different clothes
When installing: Must allow a Wi-Fi connection and access to photos/media/files (although I have not experienced the app accessing personal files/photos/media). Other than that, it’s a simple install, no real issues.
Game Play: Very simple game-play. All you really do is drag objects like tweezers to the character’s eyebrows, hover over them and it tweezes the eyebrows. Other things are a back rub, massage, etc. Then you dress her up, put makeup on her and then the “game” is over. Not a really big deal. I didn’t really like it; it was too simple for me.
RATINGS:   (Based on a 1-10 scale)
Art: 4 (I’m not big on “cartoon-y” art, but the art was clean)
     Gameplay:  3
     Concept:
5 (I didn’t like it, but some may, so I set it at average)
     Fun factor:
3 (eh, not my thing)
     Performance:
8 (it was slow in some parts of the game, but mostly quick loading, etc.)
Summary:
This “game” can be considered a “time-killer”. If you have a little girl (age 3-12-ish?) on a long drive, just for example, this can distract the child for a little while. It’s a very simple application. But it won’t last very long; half an hour at most.
Ups:
·         The art is very clean
·         Good for killing time

Downs:
·         Pop-up ads are slightly irritating, but predictable, so it can be ignored fairly simply
·         Music is very repetitive, it gets very obnoxious very fast
·         There are some areas where I can’t pick up items, and then suddenly I can. Just weird.

Art:
     Gameplay:   5
     Concept:
   3
     Fun factor:
   2
     Performance:
  10
Summary:
It’s a really easy game to play, fast to open/close and simple, too simple for me, I didn’t like it so I uninstalled it.
Ups:
·         Easy gameplay
·         Quick to open/close
·         Easy game to play while “on the pot”
·         Almost no ads
Downs:
·         They don’t have a website???
·         It gets monotonous very quickly
·         It’s not exactly very appropriate for children or socially appropriate lol!

Game Play:

Plumber doesn’t choke or crash like many games do, and it looks somewhat realistic (“cartoon-y” but still looks good) and animations are very smooth.
RATINGS:   Based on a 1-10 scale
     Art:        7
     Gameplay:   9
     Concept:
8
     Fun factor:
7
     Performance:
   10
Summary:

This type of game has been done so many times, I cannot say. That being said, I still like this game. It’s not necessarily the easiest game to master, but I still like it. It’s not a game I can play for hours, but for a little while it’s a great game.
Ups:
·         Good graphics
·         Doesn’t choke or crash
·         Keeps you thinking
·         Animations are very smooth
·         Keeps previous update history available on the “About” screen
Downs:
·         Fast-paced gameplay (can be a good thing, or not)
·
Languages available:
·         English
·         Spanish
·         Italian

Performance:    6

Summary:
Empire World is a city building game, though truly the heart of the game consists of trading/selling goods and merchandise. We find the game play and concept well rounded and thought out. The artwork is above average and visually pleasing. The music can become tiresome after a while.
Ups:
Great strategy game, lots to do and plenty  of ”thought” required
Downs:
Sometimes waiting for things to happen becomes a drag, but this seems to be the normal with today’s mobile “Free but Hurry up and wait” style games
